Summary:
Hey everyone! I currently live and work in
Fallbrook, California (just north of San Diego) where I operate my
company On Your Mark Music Productions. With several composers and
sound designers 'on staff', we work virtually in the US and Europe
creating music, sound effects and voice overs for the games industry.
After 12 years in games, I've shifted focus from trying to do it all
myself to working with other, more talented people who can help achieve my
professional goals of providing a high quality, one stop shop for all
things audio.
I originally jumped into games to be a composer but soon
found that I enjoyed creating sound effects, field recording and voicing characters as well. The diversity of the various game projects keeps things
exciting and I like to try different things. As I get further into
this adventure, I'm finding I also really enjoy the business aspect of
finding and negotiating contracts. And, as some of you may know, I share this experience in both
of my books, The Complete Guide to Game Audio (2nd Edition) and Game Audio Development. I am also currently teaching the art of Field Recording at the Art Institute of California - San Diego as part of their audio production degree program.
